It is a well-known peculiarity that Bengal cats love water. Bosco is no exception. In his eyes, water - be it from a sink tap, a shower, a water fountain or a bottle - it's all good.

Water can be played with, drunk either from the source or sucked from a wet paw or used to get clean. The sound of splashing water will have Bosco running to come and check things out.

The water fountain, which after several trials and errors, we finally managed to find one that works for us both: silent, easy to clean, two water spouts and a shallow dish that holds water before it flows back into the fountain - great for drinking and splashing water.

My kitchen sink has become even more popular than the water fountain.

Even though he is wary of being splashed or sprayed, Bosco loves the shower. He watches me shower and then positions himself in the wettest part to clean himself as well.

But the biggest source of fascination and entertainment have been the bubbles in the soda water. Bosco can spend hours observing them, studying to understand where they come from and how to catch these moving, elusive things.

I watch how the simple things can be a source of wonder and fascination for my cat. It is a good reminder to stay present and let the simple things in life bring you joy.
